Lior (Le Mans (FR), 1991) ; (, )
“I'm a virgo, sign of the craft-people : I pay attention to details way too much, which can makes me be an annoying critical bitch” - her words, not ours.
Inspired by art-nouveau, Lior is wearing a double-rimmed matte gold frame by Castellani (Domegge, IT), which could not be a better match with what she’s been working on for the past ten years: the art of stained glass.
The Marolles is home to her workshop l’Athanor, where not only she restores already existing stained glass that’s maybe struggled to stand through the test of time, but she also creates her own pieces for orders. You might have seen her work spread around the city, such as the Tanneurs, Le Sterput or Holy Sunshine.
When we met her she was working on a seashell-inspired abstract dyptique which ended up being her proudest piece to this day. Check it out as well as her other glass works and illustrations on her website, or even pass by her workshop when you get the chance. It’s a pretty sight to see.
