Meet FRAMES, the first number of our quarterly fanzine, where we collected archives and records from the optical industry. In that issue, we focus on the arrival of information technology, standardisation and automation in European factories. All the visual materials and informations integrated in FRAMES were collected as a mean of learning, identifying, and analyzing the history of an industry while highlighting a forgotten eyewear culture.
Designed by Ingrid Bourgault, those pages want you to join our fantasies about that bygone era and its very specific communication and advertising style. An era where the industry was way more than closed factories and dusty boxes.
